“We teach technique, but we also teach judgment.”

Brow Lady Academy

We teach what we practice in the studio.

Permanent makeup cannot be learned through theory alone. Students need time to understand the skin, control a machine, develop consistent movement and make informed decisions when a procedure does not go exactly as planned.

Brow Lady Academy operates within a working permanent makeup studio. Our curriculum is shaped by real consultations, procedures, healed-result evaluations and the situations professional artists encounter every week.

We teach students when to adjust a plan, when a client is not a good candidate and when the most requested technique is not the right one.

Artists who never stop being students.

Sokkha Va · Founder · Master Artist · AAM Diamond Trainer

Sokkha began working professionally with eyebrows through threading and brow shaping before transitioning into permanent makeup in 2018. Her understanding of natural brow growth and facial balance continues to shape her client work and teaching.

Despite completing thousands of procedures, she continues investing in advanced education because permanent makeup does not stand still.

Her goal is not to make students copy the way she moves. It is to help them understand what they are doing, why they are doing it and how to respond when real skin behaves differently from practice material.

Do you offer microblading training near Boston?

Brow Lady Academy offers comprehensive permanent makeup fundamentals training near Boston. Many students refer to this type of education as microblading training, but our 100-hour program provides a broader foundation that includes Powder/Ombre Brows, Nano Combo Brows, machine control, mapping, color theory, sanitation and supervised model procedures.

Is the Fundamentals Program AAM-accredited?

Yes. Brow Lady's 100-Hour Fundamentals Program follows an AAM-accredited curriculum. Accreditation and course completion do not automatically guarantee a license because requirements vary by state and municipality.

How long does the Fundamentals Program take?

The program is structured across approximately 90 days and combines online education, six days of intensive in-person instruction and continued hybrid training and model practice.

Will I work on live models?

Yes. Eligible fundamentals students complete six model procedures: two fully supervised models and four partially assisted models. Students must complete required theory, practice, safety preparation and instructor evaluations before model work.

Do you offer advanced training?

Yes. Brow Lady Academy offers Advanced Nano Brow Training, focused technique classes, refresher education and apprenticeship opportunities for qualified artists.

Can students from Rhode Island, New Hampshire or Maine attend?

Yes. Students can travel to our Massachusetts academy for training. Each student should confirm the licensing and education requirements where they intend to practice.

Does completing a course mean I can immediately accept clients?

Not necessarily. Course completion and local licensing are separate steps. Requirements may include training hours, bloodborne pathogen education, CPR or First Aid, health documents, facility approval or a local body-art permit.
