Choosing a permanent makeup course is about more than finding the closest classroom. The amount of hands-on practice, access to live models, instructor feedback and support after the initial training can make a significant difference in how prepared you feel when you begin working with clients.
At Brow Lady Academy, our goal is to develop more than technique. We teach students how to assess skin, make informed decisions, communicate with clients and understand why one approach may be more appropriate than another.

Microblading & Modern PMU
Looking for microblading training in Rhode Island?
“Microblading training” is still a common way future artists search for permanent makeup education. Brow Lady Academy teaches a broader modern PMU foundation so students learn how to evaluate the client and choose an appropriate technique instead of relying on one method for every brow.

The 100-Hour AAM-Accredited Fundamentals Program
Beginning artists need more than a demonstration. Brow Lady’s Fundamentals Program follows a structured 90-day development period that combines guided study, concentrated in-person training and model experience.

Rhode Island Licensing
Planning to practice permanent makeup in Rhode Island?
Rhode Island has specific licensing requirements for tattoo artists and permanent cosmetics providers. For certain first-time applicants providing permanent cosmetics only, the current Rhode Island Department of Health application identifies completion of an approved course as one possible education pathway and states that qualifying courses must be completed in person with hands-on training on live models.
The application also lists additional requirements that may include current CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen certification, a background check and other application documentation. After a completed application is received, RIDOH states that applicants are contacted regarding the Rhode Island licensing exam.
A real Brow Lady student has completed this process.
Brow Lady Academy has previously trained a Rhode Island student who obtained licensure in Wilmington, Massachusetts and later successfully transferred their licensing to Rhode Island. That experience is a real example, but it should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every student will qualify through the same pathway.
Licensing rules and individual circumstances can change. Completing Brow Lady Academy training does not itself issue a Rhode Island license. Students planning to practice in Rhode Island should review the current RIDOH requirements and confirm which licensing pathway applies to them before enrolling.

Training From Rhode Island
Providence-area students train at our Wilmington academy.
Brow Lady Academy welcomes students from Providence, Cranston, Warwick, Pawtucket, Northern Rhode Island and communities throughout the state who are willing to travel for hands-on permanent makeup education.
The Fundamentals Program begins with guided online study, followed by six consecutive in-person academy days. Students then continue through additional model procedures and instructor feedback during the remainder of the program.
