Brow Lady Academy's 90-day fundamentals program combines guided online study, six consecutive days of intensive in-person education and continued model practice. Training takes place in Wilmington, Massachusetts, just north of Boston, and welcomes students from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
A weekend can introduce a technique. It cannot replace repetition, feedback and supervised experience.
This program is structured over 90 days so you can learn the theory, practice deliberately, perform procedures with instructor support and begin developing sound professional judgment. The goal is not to rush you toward a certificate. It is to help you understand what you are doing, why you are doing it and when a plan needs to change.
You do not need previous permanent makeup experience, but you do need the time and willingness to practice.

Traditional microblading creates hairstrokes with a manual blade. Brow Lady Academy focuses on modern machine techniques and covers Powder/Ombre Brows and Nano Combo Brows, along with mapping, color theory, machine control, sanitation, live-model procedures and business preparation. We explain the differences clearly so you understand both the terminology and the work clients request today.
Each phase prepares you for the next, so live-model work is supported by theory and deliberate practice.
Build the knowledge required before in-person training. Coursework covers skin, contraindications, infection control, bloodborne pathogens, brow mapping, color theory, pigment basics, machine and needle fundamentals, consultation, consent and healing.
Work in a class of no more than four students. Learn Powder/Ombre Brows and Nano Combo Brows through instructor demonstration, latex practice, mapping, machine exercises and two fully supervised live-model procedures.
Complete four partially assisted model procedures while receiving feedback as your independence grows. Continue refining consultation, photography, documentation, pricing, client communication and the practical steps involved in preparing to work professionally.
You should not be left alone on your first procedure—and you should not finish training without learning to make decisions.
Your instructor guides the procedure closely while helping you connect your training to real skin and real client decisions.
You take greater ownership while support remains available for evaluation, correction and troubleshooting.
Model readiness depends on completing prerequisite coursework, practice assignments, documentation and instructor approval. Model responsibilities and scheduling are reviewed before enrollment.

Yes. The 100-hour program is Brow Lady Academy's fundamentals path for students without previous PMU education. Students must complete all prerequisites, online study and practice requirements before live-model work.
It answers the broader intent behind “microblading training,” but the hands-on curriculum emphasizes modern machine-based permanent makeup. You will learn Powder/Ombre Brows and Nano Combo Brows while also understanding how these techniques differ from traditional blade microblading.
AAM accreditation means this is a structured permanent makeup curriculum—not an informal technique class. The syllabus has been reviewed and approved by the American Academy of Micropigmentation, and accredited trainers are held to higher standards for education, skill and professional conduct. AAM-accredited training may also satisfy an education requirement when applying for permanent makeup or microblading credentials in parts of New England. Requirements vary by state and municipality, so completing the program does not automatically issue a license or replace any additional local requirements.

Students are responsible for finding their models, with guidance and support from Brow Lady Academy. We believe learning how to find a model is the first step toward learning how to find clients. We show you how to reach potential models, explain the opportunity clearly and identify appropriate candidates. Every model must meet the program's eligibility requirements and receive instructor approval before scheduling.
No training provider can automatically issue every state or local license. You receive a certificate of completion, while professional licensing, facility permits and additional requirements are controlled by the jurisdiction where you intend to work.
Yes. Students travel to our Wilmington, Massachusetts academy from across New England. You should plan to come to the studio for approximately 10 to 11 days throughout the program, including the six consecutive in-person training days and scheduled live-model work. The remaining coursework, assignments and support can be completed online. We review the calendar, travel expectations and licensing considerations during the discovery process.
